As Instagram has two billion active users in 2021 and is on its way to reaching 2.5 billion by 2023, the social media platform offers excellent opportunities for companies for marketing themselves there. This opportunity is of course not without its challenges. Marketing on social media platforms is very different from digital marketing via internet sources such as Google or Bing. Besides paying Instagram to show advertisements on people’s homepages, companies should also attract people to follow them on Instagram. This way, the advertisements will show up on their home pages. The last way of mastering Instagram marketing is great for getting new viewers and for new followers. This is by doing contests and giveaways. Because people have to tag their bestie, the Instagram post and the company’s account will get more views and followers.
