Promote your business with TikTok

TikTok can be the solution to promote your business.

TikTok is a social networking platform created in 2016 that has grown significantly in recent years. Today, TikTok has over 800 million users worldwide and has over 1 billion videos viewed every day. This makes it a great platform to promote your business and activities.

We curated a list of 5 simple steps to show you how to promote your business through this growing platform.

1. Identify the type of organization that you are and your audience

It is very important to identify the type of business you are and your audience to promote your business. This step is crucial, as it allows you to verify if TikTok is the right platform to promote your business. Indeed, you should know that the platform is mainly used by users aged between 16 and 24 years. Thus, you can either adapt your content to the audience or simply turn to other platforms such as Instagram or Facebook for example.

2. Create authentic and diversified content

TikTok is a social platform that encourages spontaneity and authenticity. It would be interesting for your company to create content that reflects 100% the image of your company and your mission to promote your business. This way, TikTok users will have a positive perception of your business. This will also allow you to confirm your presence on the platform. Moreover, TikTok consists of short videos that are 3 to 60 seconds long. So, it would be very interesting for your business to diversify your content to reach as many people as possible.

3. Plan your posts

On TikTok, things go and evolve very quickly. That’s why if your business is to gain visibility and stay consistent, you need to make sure you post content regularly. Thus, to promote your business, it would be interesting to schedule your publication days to stay up to date and keep an increased presence on the platform and not lose the image you’ve built up.

4. Curate User-generated Content

Another great way to promote your business on TikTok is through your customers. Indeed, you can create a hashtag and encourage your customers to use it if they post content related to your product. On the other hand, you can set up a contest where the use of your hashtag is required and encouraged. It will give you visibility without really putting in any effort.

5. Advertise on TikTok

Finally, there is another option available to your business. TikTok offers different tools for you to promote your business. Among those TikTok offers, we find the so-called Brand takeover or Native ad. Brand takeover advertising consists of an image or video that appears when the user opens the application. On the other hand, Native ad advertising consists of advertising that plays between the different content that the customer consumes. You just need to know that this option might be a little more costly for your company.

TikTok is an excellent platform to promote your business. A multitude of choices is available to you. Make sure to leave as much room for your imagination as possible!
